This is a random assortment of pictures at the hotel. I was very worried about sharing one room with the kids, but we managed. After we put chairs in front of Abby’s crib so she couldn’t see us, she did a lot better. Adam had a hard time falling asleep each nap or night because we stayed up with the light on to read. And even with blackout curtains, they were up way too early every morning! The worst part was that they both had coughs so they coughed throughout the night and would wake up crying and disoriented. They both also had goopy eyes for several days. It figures they would have strange illness on vacation. I guess it could’ve been worse! :)
Abby eating snacks on the floor after swimming. I tried to keep the snacks contained to the bowl. I don’t want to think about the hotel carpet. But, whatever.
We had one suitcase just for toys and books.
Abby had super cute, curly hair while we were there! It reminded me of Adam’s blond curls in Mexico in 2009. Strangely enough, her hair seems more curly now than it did before, and if I spray it wet and put hairspray or some gel in, it stays curly most of the day.
Chillin’ with Daddy watching a movie. We had lots of down time….on purpose. With little kids, it was nice to not be going nonstop all the time.
My cousin Elizabeth and her husband live in San Diego. Jason is in the Navy and was ‘at sea’ training while we there (he’s being deployed later this year) so we went out to dinner with Elizabeth and some of her sweet friends who are taking good care of her. Both her and Jason’s families are in South Carolina and my immediate family in Utah are the closest relatives. I was happy to see she wasn’t all alone out there!
They tried to take us to some cliffs to see the sunset but we missed it by about 10 minutes. It was still a beautiful sight though. There is something about crashing waves and misty air that gets to me. I love the ocean!
Isn’t it strange how the camera picks up all the water molecules in the air?
Elizabeth and the 3 of us (Abby was zonked out in the car).
Can you tell that we’re related? :)
