San Diego-LEGOLAND!

Some day I will finish blogging about our trip.  I just seem to have a million other things to do in my “free” time!

I think the highlight of Adam’s trip was LEGOLAND! The boy absolutely loved it!  He could go on nearly every ride and it was the perfect theme park for young kids.

How cute is he??  Adam….although Bob is pretty cute too!DSCF7109

Can you see us back there?
This was the only big rollercoaster Adam could go on and other than the “I’m tired of this” right after the big drop, he loved it!  (I’m listening to him say that to me in this picture)DSCF7100

Daddy and Abigail on a fairytale boat ride.
This was one of 2 rides Abby went on.  I think there were a couple others that she could’ve gone on, but we didn’t want to try and keep her in a line for very lone.DSCF7102

Later in the day, just us girls went on the boat ride again and loved it!DSCF7190
The fairytale boat took us around all the fairytales made out of Legos.
Pretty cool stuff!DSCF7106

Nat and Adam on a ride that you had to pedal yourself.  Although all the cars seemed to stay at equidistance from each other…..I think you only thought you were making it go yourself!DSCF7117

Abby and I hung out while the boys waited in line and she walked, ran, and climbed all over the place.
The word out of her mouth most often during the trip….“wah!!” (walk).DSCF7116

All that walking and running led to this….DSCF7121
And while she napped, the boys went on a boat ride where they actually did get to drive.  Adam thought he was pretty hot stuff that he was steering….mostly.DSCF7125
And I took pictures of the cool Legos.  All throughout the park they had things made out of Legos.  I think kids a little older than Adam would really love seeing all the things that were made out of them!DSCF7122

Notice how most of the pictures are of Nat and Adam?  Yeah, I’m the photographer of the family.  Apparently Nat doesn’t think about taking pictures as much as I do! DSCF7164
Abby watching on.  Poor thing.DSCF7165

There were a lot of cool things for her to look at though.  This elephant moved its trunk up and down and squirted water.  She thought that was pretty funny!DSCF7193

Adam had a blast in a ball-shooting thing and would’ve stayed for an hour if we’d let him!  There were kids down below that fed balls up into tubes that spit them out on the top level.  Then the kids up there would load the guns and shoot them back down to the bottom.DSCF7167

Adam and I went on a Lego-animal safari ride which was really cool.DSCF7174

Abby loved the choo-choo train!
She got to sit all by herself and kept saying, “too-too-tay!” DSCF7181 Adam was bored, so they took off and Abby and I went to a playground for little ones but she kept saying “more, more!” until I figured out she wanted to go on the train again!  So we went again and then that’s when we went back over to the fairytale boat ride.  It was fun spending time with her without a 3-year old clamoring for my attention all the time!

One of the neatest things about LEGOLAND is their Miniland USA.  Even Adam enjoyed looking at all the different cities.

San Francisco, complete with Pier 39 and the famous dock of sea lions!DSCF7130

The thing level to the ground is the subway!DSCF7140

Part of the Las Vegas StripDSCF7144What I thought was really cool, was how they had the landscape match the city!  They had dirt, little palm trees, and cactuses (cacti?) for Vegas, and rolling hills, and farmland for the “Heart of America”.

The White House with the Washington Monument behind it.DSCF7145

The U.S. CapitolDSCF7152

They had a bunch of other cities too like New Orleans with a Mari Gras parade and what looked like a girl flashing her pink bra! :)

LEGOLAND cost a small fortune, but was worth it.  It was a blast and Adam is still carrying around his map and pointing out the rides he went on!DSCF7195
