Caleb’s 1 Year Old Pictures

We had Caleb’s pictures taken a few weeks ago by a local photographer, Mistie Huffman.  It was fun being outside and I’m already planning our family pictures for the fall!

Of course I have to post way too many pictures….I love them all!  He looks a little different than normal because it was a bright, sunny afternoon so he was squinting a lot…..and a bit reluctant to smile!

At the time of these pictures, Caleb was making this scrunched up, fish face all.the.time!

Adam and his LEGO Creations

Adam has really gotten into LEGOs lately.  He is always showing me some robot/invention/creation that he has built.  Here are just a few of his recent ones.

Have any of you seen that show?  He is obsessed with it!  This is the 10 and 5 meter platforms with flames on either side for dramatic effect.

Here’s another version that he and Abby built together using Duplo's.  This set includes the judges Steve Foley and David Boudia (the little man and the white dog in the foreground), and coach Greg Louganis (sitting by the platforms in the back).  Clearly, you can see the pool in which they dive into.  Funny kids.

The funniest thing is listening to his explanations.  I love this kid!

Caleb’s First Haircut

A few days before his birthday, I gave Caleb his very first haircut.  Adam was like 2 months old and Abby was 6 months old for their their first haircuts.  I attribute Caleb’s nice, even hair growth to being a tummy sleeper.  He has no hair above his temples, but it’s perfectly even everywhere else!

His hair was only a little shaggy, but with his 1 year old pictures coming up, I thought it was a good time to cut off those newborn locks.  *sniff*

Caleb was my most difficult first haircut yet!  Maybe because he was much older than the others….most likely because he is so darn active and did not want to be stuck in that chair or hold his head still!

Caleb’s 1st Birthday!

This sweet, tiny little newborn is now one!!

The kids and I picked out a circus theme for his party and had fun decorating.

It took a while, but he finally grabbed onto a piece of wrapping paper and pulled.


But….he was more interested in drinking the water he stole from Adam.  Abby was more than willing to unwrap the presents for him.

I guess I missed some spots after dinner!  Our camera has always really intensified any orange color.

His big present was a climber/slide toy!
Eventually it’ll go outside when we get the fire ant issue under control.  Of course, the big kids are loving it and play on it much more than Caleb does.  I figured that would be case – he’ll grow into it over the summer.


He loves it already though and is constantly trying to climb up the slide.

He was laughing so hard at Adam playing Peek-a-Boo from up above!

And ended the night with a nice bubble bath!
