Caleb’s 1st Birthday!

This sweet, tiny little newborn is now one!!

The kids and I picked out a circus theme for his party and had fun decorating.

It took a while, but he finally grabbed onto a piece of wrapping paper and pulled.


But….he was more interested in drinking the water he stole from Adam.  Abby was more than willing to unwrap the presents for him.

His big present was a climber/slide toy!
Eventually it’ll go outside when we get the fire ant issue under control.  Of course, the big kids are loving it and play on it much more than Caleb does.  I figured that would be case – he’ll grow into it over the summer.


He loves it already though and is constantly trying to climb up the slide.

He was laughing so hard at Adam playing Peek-a-Boo from up above!

And ended the night with a nice bubble bath!

Dallas Temple Grounds

Our bishop asked each family to go to the Dallas temple and take a family picture this month.  While Grandma Lesa (Nat’s mom) was visiting, we took a trip out and walked around the grounds.  I love being on the temple grounds.  It’s just so peaceful!

This was the best picture we could get.  Abby was exhausted and Caleb was trying to jump out of my arms to get to the water fountain!

Then I asked Adam to pose.  And smile.  His response, “I am smiling!”

Disney on Ice!

For Valentine’s Day, Nat gave Adam tickets to see Monster Jam and I gave Abby tickets to Disney on Ice.  She waited patiently for almost 2 months for the day to arrive!

We got caught up in shopping and then the lines were too long for food before the show started, so we booked it out of there during intermission and grabbed lunch.  Abby had a much better time the 2nd half!

The Big Finale

To top of our Mommy-Daughter date, we went to our local frozen yogurt shop, Sweet Frog.  It was our first time there and it is so cute!  And yummy!

What a great time we had, just us girls!

Daily Life–Adam

Adam.  Oh, Adam.  Full of life and energy.  When we lived in Utah, not a Sunday went by that someone from Primary didn’t tell me how much they loved him or how fun he was.  From the first week we got to Texas, I’ve heard the same thing.  He is funny and precocious, and just fun to be around!  He’s also super sweet.  Like borderline annoying and sappy except that he’s being completely genuine!

The biggest deal in Adam’s life right now, is soccer.  This is his first season playing and he’s loving it!

I thought it was so cute how all the little boys have the same hair color.  Adam is #4 on the end.

We’ve had beautiful weather the past few days and the kids love to go out in the back and play soccer together.

He loves playing with his little siblings!  He and Abby have their fair share of fighting, but when they do play nicely, they have a blast together!  And they think Caleb is absolutely hilarious!

Although we haven’t been doing formal reading lessons since we moved (I need to get on that, he loves it!), he’s been working on lessons from ReadingEggs.com and it’s all obviously working because HE CAN READ!!  Really well!  I’m amazed at least once a day about something he reads on TV, in a book, outside, etc.  I’ve only taught him the very basics and his little mind has just naturally grasped it and moved on without me!
